Attention Tax Advantage Account Holders!
|
If you participate in a tax advantage account, there is some key information you need to know as you move into the new year.

Health care FSA, limited purpose health FSA and dependent care FSA claims need to be submitted to Bank of America by March 31, 2009, for reimbursement.

If you elected to contribute to a health care FSA, limited purpose health FSA and/or a health saving account for 2009, the debit card you used in 2008 is still active. Additional debit cards are available by contacting Bank of America at 1-866-791-0250. Debit cards are not available for dependent care accounts.

Due to customer confusion regarding the substantiation process, Bank of America has created a new link that is available on the Member Home page and Account Activity page.
|

The link only appears if you have unsubstantiated transactions. When you click the link, you are directed to a new page that only shows items that require receipts to be sent in. In the past, you had to sort through all transactions to find which required further action.

It is critical that you comply with substantiation requirements. If you do not comply with these requirements, Bank of America is legally required to suspend your debit card. In order to be compliant with IRS requirements, effective immediately, Bank of America’s systems are set to suspend your card if a transaction remains unsubstantiated for more than 120 days. Your debit card will be reactivated automatically when the transactions for more than 120 days are cleared. This typically happens on the next business day.

If debit card usage is suspended, you will be made aware with online messaging and a letter sent in the U.S. mail.

Beginning Jan. 1, Benefit Solutions is moving to paperless statements. If you wish to continue to receive a paper statement, you can contact Bank of America’s member services center or go to their website and opt back in for a paper statement.

Bank of America is collecting e-mail addresses so they can send you e-mail notifications when your online statement is ready to view. Bank of America’ may request your e-mail address when you call.

Also, statements will move to quarterly instead of monthly. You will be able to access your first quarter statement for Jan. 1, 2009 to March 31, 2009 online in early April.

| You will continue to receive monthly paper statements for Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), unless you opt for paperless. Investment statements for
HSAs will be quarterly and will be by paper. |
